Not our usual eveningJust as I was finishing work yesterday, Ariane knocked at our back door. Ariane is our AirBNB host. She lives in Montréal, but spends a fair amount of time here in Québec, visiting her parents who live in the flat upstairs. Ariane was on the telephone with their local Internet service provider; she was interested in upgrading their service and wanted me to handle the inquiry. After I did, we sat on her porch for two hours. She and Alison drank wine while I drank coffee. At 9pm, the three of us ventured out for a late dinner at Le Mezze, a really terrific Greek restaurant that is off the beaten (a.k.a. tourist) path. We dined on salad, squid, octopus and lamb, and as Ariane says one does: ate a little, drink a little (repeat). Afterward, we walked back up the steep hill to our flat, collapsing pretty quickly into bed around midnight. Tidbit

We made it to Maine and have been busy since last night cleaning, shopping, etc. More to do---the garden took over everything. Sounds like a great evening for everyone!
