Most new parents want to show off their baby, and most dog owners want to show off their dog. Why no picture of Sophie Grace? What are you hiding?

Keep it coming! I’m jealous, but happy to see what you are doing! Bar Harbor year after year seems like a good plan to me!

Tidbit #3 - Isle Au Haut, located about 25 miles southwest of Bar Harbor, is officially part of Acadia National Park. Odd, but true. It's a scenic, sparsely-populated enclave that makes for a beautiful 13-mile-circuit bike ride. Warning: it's a bit hilly in spots. Downside: getting there from Bar Harbor can take a while, between the car ride around the coast and catching a boat from Deer Isle.

Yes, true! There's also the Schoodic Peninsula that is part of Acadia National Park, across the harbor to the east of Bar Harbor. It is a 1.5 hour drive or a 45-minute ferry ride. In general, the national park keeps getting bigger and bigger as people die and leave their property to the park.

If you ever get a hankering for popovers here at home, let me know...It was tradition as I was growing up have popovers every Sunday morning before church..My dad made them them. I practice the art of making them these days...I'd be happy to make them for you and Alison anytime! Have fun!!!
