Off and pedalingYesterday morning, Alison was up and on the move early. She hopped on her bike and headed for the Farmer's Market to admire the food and flora. She then took a long ride through the Promenade Samuel-De Champlain, a long and winding park that runs along the St. Lawrence River from the Old City to the one and only pair of bridges across the river. Once she arrived at her destination, I hopped in the car to join her and we had lunch outdoors under the shadow of the "Jenga Tower." It has a real name, and is of stated architectural prestige, but I was distracted by the views and forgot to collect those details. In the evening, we walked down to Rue Saint Jean for dinner. We had planned to have a light meal at a small Mexican restaurant that Alison had spotted, but when we arrived, there wasn't a single person dining there, although the two adjacent restaurants were packed. Taking that as a sign, we picked one of the adjacent restaurants and had (yet another) wonderful meal of salad and poutine. Tidbit
