QC 2016: The Adventure Begins

I've been telling people for 15 years now that one of the best things about being a self-employed computer programmer is that "I can work from anywhere that is connected to the Internet."

In practice, though, I don't. I work from either my work office or (more recently) my home office. Well, we're finally going to put my claim to the test. Today, we leave and head north for a month in Quebec City. I will work from the AirBNB apartment that we rented there and Alison will explore the city. In the evenings and on the weekends, we'll explore together.

Cape May, NJ

Before we head to Canada, we are spending three days in Cape ​May, New Jersey with extended family. To get here from Richmond, we took the scenic route through Virginia's Eastern Shore and finished with a 90-minute ferry ride from Lewes, Delaware to Cape May.
