Not our usual evening
Just as I was finishing work yesterday, Ariane knocked at our back door. Ariane is our AirBNB host. She lives in Montréal, but spends a fair amount of time here in Québec, visiting her parents who live in the flat upstairs. Ariane was on the telephone with their local Internet service provider; she was interested in upgrading their service and wanted me to handle the inquiry.
After I did, we sat on her porch for two hours. She and Alison drank wine while I drank coffee. At 9pm, the three of us ventured out for a late dinner at Le Mezze, a really terrific Greek restaurant that is off the beaten (a.k.a. tourist) path. We dined on salad, squid, octopus and lamb, and as Ariane says one does: ate a little, drink a little (repeat). Afterward, we walked back up the steep hill to our flat, collapsing pretty quickly into bed around midnight.
